Oklahoma Association of Conservation Districts Annual State Meeting 2025 

Join us for our annual state meeting as we reflect on 90 years since Black Sunday, exploring conservation progress with the theme Ground Gained, Ground Lost. Highlights include keynote speaker Jason Brown, a former NFL player turned regenerative farmer, and expert Christine Martin on holistic land management.

Climate Smart Commodities

OACD is proud to receive a $4.9M Climate Smart Commodities grant to advance regenerative farming, support socially disadvantaged farmers and tribes, and expand markets for pecans and livestock in Oklahoma, the Muscogee Creek Nation, and the Choctaw Nation.

Conservation Leadership Class

The Conservation Leadership Class is an opportunity for conservation district directors and associate directors to come together for a state wide educational conservation focused leadership development program.

Farm to Food Bank

The Farm to Food Bank program partners with Oklahoma farmers to fight hunger and conserve natural resources by planting edible cover crops that improve soil health and provide fresh produce to local food pantries and community organizations.

Healthy Soils

The OACD Healthy Soils Project promotes proven conservation practices to improve soil health, benefiting water quality, air quality, carbon sequestration, and wildlife habitats while supporting Oklahoma’s ecological diversity and agricultural sustainability.

The Soil Health Producer Network connects Oklahoma agriculture producers to share resources, best practices, and success stories, fostering collaboration to improve soil health and farm operations.

The Yard by Yard and Grounds by Grounds programs empower individuals, businesses, and communities to adopt sustainable practices that improve soil health, conserve water, support wildlife, and create resilient, eco-friendly spaces across private yards and public landscapes.

Youth Contests

The Oklahoma Association of Conservation Districts hosts annual speech, essay and poster contests for youth across the state.

National Land and Range Judging

The National Land and Range Judging Contest in Oklahoma City brings high school students together to compete in land, range, and homesite judging, where they learn valuable soil and land management skills.
