Registration Open for OCLWA’s 30th Annual Conference and Joint Oklahoma AFS Conference


Consider presenting your important work and research in aquatic resource science and management at OCLWA’s 30th Annual Conference, April 10-11, 2024, at the Wes Watkins Center in Stillwater, OK. Our continuing goal is to convene the largest, most meaningful conference of its kind in the region by offering multiple professional presentation tracks, a student poster and oral contests, and professional exhibition opportunities. We’re excited to bring this conference together for its 30th year!

 

BREAKING:  The Oklahoma Clean Lakes and Watershed Association is Joining with the Oklahoma American Fisheries Society to present both events concurrently! 

 

WORKSHOP OPPORTUNITY:  The Oklahoma Water Resources Center is hosing an OK HAWQS workshop on April 9th for OCLWA and AFS Attendees and Members! See the Attached Flyer. HAWQS is a web-based interactive water quantity and quality modeling system that employs as its core modeling engine the Soil and Water Assessment Tool (SWAT), an internationally recognized public domain model. HAWQS provides users with interactive web interfaces and maps; pre-loaded input data; outputs that include tables, charts, and raw output data; a user guide, and online development, execution, and storage of a user's modeling projects.

 

 

Please consider submitting abstracts for oral and/or poster presentations of your exciting work.  The OCLWA supports a variety of topics including but not limited to:

 

  • Lakes, Streams, and other Limnological Studies

  • Nonpoint Source Pollution Management

  • Watershed Science and Management

  • Wetland Science and Management

  • Water Quality Modeling

  • Aquatic Invertebrates

  • Toxicology and Emerging Contaminants

  • Fisheries Science and Management

  • State and Regional Water Quality Monitoring Programs

  • Regional Water Quality Issues

  • Invasive Aquatic Species

  • Groundwater Science and Management

 

Presenters must complete the relevant form and submit an abstract of their proposed presentation. Abstracts must be 200 words or less, single spaced, formatted in Calibri 11 point font, and must include title followed by author(s), and affiliation. Completed submissions for presentations are due by March 17, 2024, but early submissions are encouraged!  Are you a student presenter?  OCLWA is planning for the first annual student oral presentation contest.  Submit abstracts for oral presentations and posters tosteve.nikolai@grda.com
