Year Program
How the Program Works
01
Submit Your Application
Complete and submit an AMP application online during the 2026 application window for one of 125 available contracts
02
Phone Interview
Applications meeting preliminary screening requirements will be phone interviewed by OACD/OCC staff using a standard scoring sheet. A follow-up interview may be requested.
03
Internal Review & Selection
An internal review ranks and selects the highest scoring applicants. Producers and their local districts will be informed of selection outcomes.

Develop Your 3- Year Plan
Accepted producers work with an OCC Soil Health Team member to create a three year producer intent plan and system based recommendation guide. Enrolled acres cannot simultaneously be in EQIP or other NRCS programs for the same practices.

Receive Payments
Enrollees receive an official plan signing stipend and additional payments based on participation, progress, and performance throughout the program.

Stay Engaged
Communicate regularly with your OCC Soil Health team member, OACD staff, and local conservation district for technical assistance, plan progress, and modifications as needed.
$2,500-$5,000
You will receive an initial payment for committing to the program and developing your 3-year plan with your technical advisor.
Enrollment Payment
$3,000-$6,000/year
Payments for staying engaged - working with your district and technical advisors, attending workshops or trainings, and submitting progress updates.
Participation Payments
$3,000-$12,000
As you adopt and improve your management system over time, payments increase. Based on implementing grazing management changes, improving soil cover, integrating multiple practices, and pursuing new markets.
System Development Payments
Additional Payments
Additional payments available for participating in marketing workshops, accessing new markets, and developing value-added products.

What You Can Earn
We are not paying for individual practices or acres. We are paying producers for participation, progress, and building a working system that improves their operation over time by creating greater marketing autonomy.

The Advancing Markets for Producers (AMP) Initiative focuses on planning for implementation of soil-health related practices that support the production and marketing of commodities. Primary focus will be dedicated to and enrollment priority will be given to:
