In South Carolina, Greenwood County, who owns and operates an 11,4000 acre reservoir, Lake Greenwood, has been working with lake front property owners to address nonpoint source pollution. Along with this, they have developed an integrated aquatic plant management plan. In Nebraska, the Papillion Creek Watershed Partnership was created through an inter-local agreement between nine governmental agencies to proactively deal with the water quality and quantity issues in a 402-square mile watershed that encompasses most of the Omaha metropolitan area.
